Your quilt top should be ready to load, with seams secure. Backing should be at least 5 inches larger than the quilt top on all four sides.
If your quilt has bias edges, please stay-stitch the perimeter ⅛–¼ inch from the edge to help prevent stretching during quilting.
If your backing needs to be pieced, I’m happy to do that for you as an additional service. I’ll also press the top or backing as needed before loading.
If I find fullness, wavy borders, an open seam, or something else that may affect the quilting, we’ll talk about it before I proceed.
Please add buttons, beads, and other dimensional embellishments after quilting.
When the quilting is finished, you can choose whether you’d like your quilt trimmed or returned with the excess batting and backing intact. Complete machine binding is also available.
